Mission Statement
“The mission of the Foundation shall be to raise funds and contribute for programs, services, and/or special projects that will improve the public’s safety in Tillamook County, and which are not fully funded through the budget of Tillamook County or the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office. Supported programs may include but are not limited to search and rescue, public awareness campaigns, public safety and public outreach offered to youth, the elderly and the general public”
Our Purpose and Goals
This nonprofit foundation was created with two main purposes. The first is to be a consistent support resource for the Sheriff’s Office. This means filling financial gaps with needed equipment, training and or similar where budget shortfalls create roadblocks. Additionally, and perhaps far more important, is helping to fund Sheriff’s Office teams for charity events, support staff wellness, and host staff events that benefit the camaraderie and overall wellness of our team.
The second purpose is to support and sponsor community events that have a link to law enforcement or public safety. The Sheriff’s Office is a public service agency and as such community involvement is a critical component to its core duties. The foundation helps fund, organize and generally support events such as these which help create strong community relationships and helps build trust and support from the community. The foundation believes strongly in these two primary objectives and will continue to follow these as guiding principles.
Our Board of Directors
Jesse has more than 15 years of operations management experience across customer service, hospitality, and transportation, Jesse brings a practical, people-centered approach to leadership and volunteer engagement.
In August 2020, Jesse organized a grassroots effort advocating for improved safety along Highway 6. What began with a few poster boards carrying the message “Honk for a Safe Trip” quickly gained community attention and drew support from state representatives, local commissioners, ODOT, and Sheriff Josh Brown. Eighteen months later, the effort helped lead to legislation passed in Salem.
He is honored to give back alongside others who share a heart for service and looks forward to continuing to build partnerships across Oregon to expand programs, outreach, and opportunities that strengthen the communities the Foundation serves.

I’m passionate about helping others by offering encouragement, guidance, and steady support so they can grow with confidence. In addition, I proudly serve as Treasurer of the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Foundation, where I am deeply committed to overseeing the financial stewardship and supporting the overall well-being of the sheriff’s office and its staff. Serving my community in this role allows me to combine leadership, responsibility, and heart in meaningful ways.

Sheriff Joshua Brown
Elected and sworn in for his first term in 2021, Josh has served the community and the Sheriff’s Office staff with passion and commitment. The nonprofit foundation was a goal he had, and he is proud of it and what it has done for the office and community. He hopes it will remain strong and active through the years.
